Big Discount: Due to the continuous increase in the prices of petrol and diesel, while the prices of vehicles are also increasing, on the other hand the relief news is that customers are getting huge discounts for electric two-wheelers. In fact, the Government of India has amended the FAME II subsidy to promote an electric two-wheeler development company. Under this scheme, the electric bike and subsidy rate is increased by 50% to Rs 15,000 per kWh to incentivize electric two-wheeler manufacturers.
Electric two-wheeler vehicle maker Ather Energy has announced a price cut of up to Rs 14,500 on the Ather 450X and 450 Plus while releasing the price list of the 450X Plus scooter across multiple cities in India operated by Ather. Let us tell you that Ather Energy is one of the e-two-wheeler manufacturer, which is giving incentives to its customers by announcing price cut on its electric scooters.
This will increase the sales of electric two-wheelers
Elaborating on the plan, Tarun Mehta, CEO & Co-Founder, Ather Energy Company said, “The increase in subsidy by 50 per cent per KWH as per FAME2 policy is an unprecedented step. The sales of electric vehicles have seen a rapid increase even during the Corona pandemic, and with this extra subsidy, we expect the sales of electric two-wheelers to grow further.”
Customer demand will increase
The continuous increase in petrol and diesel is forcing people to think about electric bikes. In such a situation, the reduction in the price of electric vehicles by Ather Company will attract more customers towards itself. The company will currently launch its products in only a few cities. With this, the company has plans to expand to 30 cities. Mehta said that “Ather Energy already has plans to expand deliveries to 30 cities in the next 6 months and this increased subsidy will help accelerate customer demand”.
