ROCHESTER, N.Y., Nov. 3, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Vuzix® Corporation (NASDAQ: VUZI), (“Vuzix” or, the “Company”), a leading supplier of smart glasses and Augmented Reality (AR) technology and products, announced it has completed delivery against a follow-on order from a Tier-1 aerospace and defense contractors with which it has been working with. The Company expects to receive additional orders in subsequent phases with this partner.
Vuzix has delivered a customized waveguide-based optics engine that is intended to be used in head worn systems designed for aerospace applications. These customized waveguide-based engine prototypes offer a high brightness, high index waveguide design with a wide FOV (field-of-view) for a variety of field operational conditions.
