PlayStation 5’s restocks once again sold out in a few minutes. India’s pre-orders for the PS5 resumed once again at 12 noon on Thursday, May 27, and customers say the stock is out again in a few minutes this time. The PS5 immediately soldered out at all other stores, but customers believed the stock at Amazon lasted for a few minutes. Last time too, many customers managed to pre-order their latest PlayStation via Amazon, while PS5 was quickly sold out at other retail stores including Flipkart, Croma, Vijay Sales, ShopAtSony.
The Games The Shop website was down 15 minutes before pre-orders started and then did not recover for a long time. Chroma’s server was also down just before the pre-order time, but it was quickly fixed. Vijay Sales showed PS5 stock sold out within 1 minute. Apart from this, the Buy button was never seen on Sony Center and Reliance Digital.
This time it is the same old story. Sony knows that the demand for this console is very high in India, yet the company is bringing very few units in re-stock. A similar situation was seen in the last pre-order sale. People had also said this on social media. Customers were told that all retail stores had sold out or out of stock in the chunk seconds after the sale started. Well, we also have to understand the fact that India is not a priority market for PlayStation and on top of this, with the global demand increasing in 2022, this situation seems less likely to improve. It may happen that the fans will face a similar situation in the coming re-stock as well.
Sony Center and Flipkart say delivery is expected to start from June 7. Amazon has set a timeline for shipping between 8–11 June. When we checked, it was found that Chroma is showing delivery till 11 June in our region. However, due to local restrictions on non-essential goods during the epidemic, delivery times may also be different for different regions.
If you have not found the PS5 in this cell too, then you can register for notifications of the next sale at all retail stores. Also, if game stores are open around you, you can get information there too. If you are in good luck, chances are you get the PS5 offline. Sony India has also set up a helpline at 1800-103-7799 to help PlayStation fans find local retailers across India.
